Description

Rendering Real-time fractals in Blender, and using it to create The Cloak of Mandelbrot! 💫 AD: Get 5% off your Rokoko mocap gear with the code RKK_POLYFJORD: https://glnk.io/3vn51/polyfjord

In this video I finally get to share a new way I have been rendering and animating Mandelbrot fractals in Blender 5.0. I have wanted a workflow where you can explore the Mandelbrot set in real-time, and it's finally possible using the new Repeat Zone nodes! The result of this video is a custom Mandelbrot shader that is built on a Blender 5.0 demo file made by ‪@Specoolar‬ and with an OSL variand inspired by a script by ‪@CGMatter‬. I also explore a workflow when using this mandelbrot shader to create a fractal transition of an invisible cloak - The Cloak of Mandelbrot, which you can see at the very end of the video. Thanks for watching!
